En 1985 ingres\u00f3 a la Asociaci\u00f3n Ornitol\u00f3gica del Plata (AOP- Aves Argentinas) y al incipiente “Grupo Rapaces” de la Fundaci\u00f3n Vida Silvestre Argentina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Between 1986 and 1996, he published 30 scientific and popular articles in magazines such as \"El Hornero,\" \"Nuestras Aves,\" \"Weekend,\" etc., mostly focused on birds of prey. He became one of the most prolific authors of ornithology articles during that decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


During those years, he presented lectures as a specialist in birds of prey in courses of bird systematics, offered annually by the mentioned organization. He also participated in and organized courses on the specialty, delivering more than 30 talks and 10 courses. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 1987-88, with Miguel D. Saggese he conducted the \"Aguila Escudada Project,\" a pioneering study on raptors in the Argentine Patagonia. This project laid the groundwork for the creation of the \"Bosques Petrificados de Jaramillo\" National Park.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 1989, he initiated and led the \"Argentine Raptor Working Group\" within the Asociaci\u00f3n Ornitologica de La Plata (AOP) until 1993. He developed the \"Argentine Harpy Eagle Conservation Project\" in the province of Misiones. This might have been one of the first programs for the study and conservation of rainforest eagles in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Luego de ausentarse del ambiente durante varios a\u00f1os, en 2010 inici\u00f3 el Proyecto \u201cAves de Presa del Nordeste Patag\u00f3nico\u201d. Al presente ha publicado unos 25 art\u00edculos de ciencia y divulgaci\u00f3n sobre las rapaces de esta regi\u00f3n del pa\u00eds, en especial focalizados en aspectos reproductivos y en monitoreos poblacionales a lo largo del litoral del Mar Argentino. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, and since 2009, he also leads the \"Puma de las Pampas Project,\" a study supported by \"Humane Society International.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
